Techstyles

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 18, 2026

Techstyles is an AI-assisted platform for creating apparel tech packs. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

It covers our website at techstyles.io and our app at app.techstyles.io. In this policy, "Techstyles", "we" and "us" mean the business that operates them, based in Long Island, New York, USA. By using Techstyles you also agree to our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, your email address and a password. Your password is stored in hashed form by our sign in provider. We never see it in plain text.

Information from Google sign in

If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares three things with us: your name, your email address and your profile picture. We also receive an ID that identifies your Google account. We do not receive your Google password. We do not ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google data.

The same applies if you sign in with another provider we offer, such as Microsoft.

Content you create and upload

We store the work you do in Techstyles. This includes your tech packs and everything in them: sketches, colorways, measurements, size charts, bills of materials, artwork, packaging details, notes, comments and purchase orders. It also includes the images and files you upload, the text and reference images you submit to AI features, and the results those features produce.

Billing information

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number and security code go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe tells us your plan, your payment status, the brand and last four digits of your card, your billing country and your invoice history.

Usage data

We record how the website and the app are used. This includes pages viewed, features used, buttons clicked, the link or ad that brought you to us, your device and browser type, screen size, language, IP address and the approximate location it suggests. If something breaks in the app, an error report is sent to us.

We also make session recordings on the website and in the app. A recording replays the screens as you saw them, with your mouse movement, clicks and scrolling. In the app this can include the content of your tech packs. Anything you type is masked. Card details are never recorded because they are entered on Stripe pages. The share pages you send to suppliers are not recorded.

Messages and bookings

If you email us, we keep the conversation. If you book a demo, our scheduling tool collects your name, your email address, the time you chose and anything else you enter in the form. Before launch we ran a waitlist that collected first name, last name, company and email address.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. They are listed in the cookies section below.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the service: create your account, sign you in and save your work.
  • To run the AI features you choose to use.
  • To take payments, manage subscriptions and track credit balances.
  • To answer support requests and run the demos you book.
  • To understand how the product is used, fix problems and decide what to build next.
  • To keep the service secure and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To send service messages, such as receipts and notices about your account.
  • To send product news and offers. You can unsubscribe from these at any time.
  • To measure how well our ads work.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your designs or uploads to advertise to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Legal bases under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on:

  • Contract. We need your account details and content to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests. We use usage data to secure, run and improve the product, and to measure our marketing.
  • Consent. We rely on consent where the law requires it, for example for marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation. We keep some records, such as invoices, because the law requires it.

3. How we use Google user data

We use the information we receive from Google sign in for four things only. We create your account. We sign you in. We show your name and picture inside the app. We contact you about your account.

  • We do not use Google user data for advertising.
  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We do not use Google user data to train AI models.
  • We share it only with the service providers that store our database and send our email, as described in this policy.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove Techstyles from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete the data we already hold, see retention and deletion.

4. AI features

Some features use third party AI providers to generate sketches, artwork, mockups and text. When you use one, we send the content you submit for that request to the provider. That can be a text brief, a rough sketch or a product photo. Only the content needed for that request is sent. The result is saved to your workspace like anything else you create.

Our AI providers today are OpenAI and Google. AI output can be wrong. Please review it before you rely on it.

6. Who we share information with

We use the companies below to run Techstyles. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.

OpenAI

We also share information in these cases:

  • When you ask us to. For example, when you send a share link to a supplier.
  • To comply with the law. We may disclose information if a court or regulator requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Techstyles.
  • If the business changes hands. If Techstyles is merged, sold or reorganised, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will tell you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Where we store data and how we protect it

Your account, your tech packs and your uploads are stored with Supabase on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Most of our other providers also process data in the United States.

If you use Techstyles from outside the United States, your information is transferred to the United States and processed there. Where the law requires safeguards for that transfer, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and the equivalent UK terms.

Security

  • All traffic to the website and the app is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Data is encrypted at rest by our hosting providers.
  • Database rules keep each workspace separate, so an account can read only its own data. Uploaded files are private and are served through links that expire.
  • Passwords are stored only as hashes.
  • Card payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1.
  • Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

8. Retention and deletion

  • We keep your account information and your content while your account is active.
  • You can delete individual tech packs, images and other items in the app at any time.
  • To delete your account and the data in it, email support@techstyles.io from the address on your account. We will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days.
  • Copies held in backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule after that.
  • We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to seven years.
  • Analytics events are kept for up to one year. Session recordings are kept for up to 30 days.
  • Waitlist sign ups are kept until our launch announcements are finished, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Support emails and demo bookings are kept while they are useful, and deleted on request.

9. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. These are the cookies our website sets today.

The app keeps you signed in using storage in your browser. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views on our website without cookies.

The Google Ads tag tells Google that a visit came from one of our ads, so we can measure results. Google may also use it to show our ads to people who have visited our website.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our website still works without them.
  • You can turn off ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
  • Content blockers stop our analytics and advertising tools from loading.
  • You can email support@techstyles.io and ask us to delete the analytics data linked to you.

Our website does not respond to Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them yet.

10. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland (GDPR)

  • You can ask for a copy of your personal information.
  • You can ask us to correct it.
  • You can ask us to delete it.
  • You can ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or inside the app before it takes effect.
