Terms of Service

1. The service

Techstyles is an AI-assisted platform for creating apparel tech packs. You can generate flat sketches, build specifications, manage colorways, measurements, artwork and bills of materials, and share the finished tech pack with your manufacturer.

The service includes our website at techstyles.io, our app at app.techstyles.io and any related tools we provide.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Techstyles.
• If you use Techstyles for a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that company.
• Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and your sign in method secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us right away at support@techstyles.io if you think someone else has used your account.
• The free trial is limited to one per person or business.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Use the service to create unlawful, harmful, hateful or deceptive content.
• Use AI features to copy a protected design, logo or brand that you do not own or license.
• Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
• Try to access accounts, workspaces or data that are not yours.
• Probe, scan, overload or disrupt the service, or get around its security or usage limits.
• Copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law allows it.
• Create multiple accounts to get extra free trials or credits.
• Upload viruses or other harmful code.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Plans, billing and credits

Free trial

New accounts can try Techstyles for free for a limited time. The trial does not require a payment card. Its length and limits are shown on our pricing page. Some features, such as exports and supplier share links, are only available on a paid plan.

Subscriptions

• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. You authorise us to charge your payment method for each renewal.
• Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, in US dollars.
• Prices do not include taxes. If tax applies, it is added at checkout.
• We may change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days notice by email before a new price applies to you. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change.
• If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until the payment goes through.

Founding offer

From time to time we offer discounted pricing, such as our founding subscriber discount. A founding discount applies for as long as your subscription stays active without a break. If you cancel or your subscription lapses, the discount ends.

Credits

• AI features use credits. The number of credits each action uses is shown in the app.
• Paid plans include a number of credits for each billing period. Included credits that you do not use expire at the end of the period. They do not roll over.
• Subscribers can buy extra credit packs. Credits from a pack do not expire while your account remains active.
• If an AI request fails and produces no result, the credits for it are returned to you.
• Credits have no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money. Unused credits are not refunded.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing settings in the app, or by emailing support@techstyles.io. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Payments are not refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for a partly used billing period or for unused credits. If you were charged by mistake, email us within 30 days and we will put it right.

Some countries give consumers a legal right to a refund or to withdraw from a purchase. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the law where you live.

6. Who owns what

Your content is yours

You own the tech packs, designs, images and other content you create in or upload to Techstyles. We do not claim ownership of your work.

To run the service, we need your permission to handle that content. You give us a limited licence to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the service to you. This includes showing share links that you turn on, and sending the content you submit to AI features to our AI providers. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups that are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload it and to use it with the service.

The platform is ours

We own the Techstyles platform. This includes the software, the design of the app, the built in templates, style libraries and size charts, and the Techstyles name and logo. These terms give you a right to use the service while your account is active. They do not transfer any of our rights to you.

You may use the templates, styles and size charts inside the tech packs you create. You may not extract them to build a competing product or database.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

7. AI generated content

Techstyles uses third party AI models to generate sketches, artwork, mockups, measurements, material suggestions and text. Please read this section carefully.

• AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your product.
• AI output is a starting point. It is not professional technical design, engineering, legal or compliance advice.
• You must review every tech pack before you send it to a manufacturer. Check the measurements, grading, construction details, materials, colors, labelling and care information.
• We are not responsible for production errors, samples, delays or costs that result from relying on AI output without checking it.
• AI models can produce similar results for different users. We cannot promise that output is unique.
• We cannot promise that output does not resemble existing designs or trademarks. Check that artwork and designs do not infringe the rights of others before you use them commercially.
• The law on ownership of AI generated work is unsettled and differs between countries. We cannot promise that output qualifies for copyright or design protection.

As between you and Techstyles, the output you generate belongs to you, to the extent the law allows. We claim no rights in it.

8. Third party services

Techstyles works with services run by other companies, such as Google for sign in and Stripe for payments. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for services we do not control. Our Privacy Policy lists the providers we use.

9. Service availability and changes

• We work to keep Techstyles available and reliable. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
• We may carry out maintenance, which can make the service unavailable for a short time.
• We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
• Features marked beta or preview may change or stop at any time.
• You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important work. Paid plans can export tech packs as files.
• If we ever close the service, we will give you at least 30 days notice so that you can export your data.

10. Disclaimers

Techstyles is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a tech pack made with Techstyles will be accepted by a manufacturer or will result in a correctly made product.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• Techstyles is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, production costs, and the cost of samples or replacement goods.
• Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the greater of two amounts: what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

Some laws do not allow these limits. In that case they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against Techstyles because of your content, your products or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim. We will tell you about the claim promptly and cooperate with you.

13. Termination

• You can stop using Techstyles at any time. You can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@techstyles.io.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if payment fails, or if your use puts the service or other users at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
• When an account closes, your right to use the service ends.
• Unless we closed the account for serious misuse, you have 30 days to ask for an export of your content. After that we delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
• The sections on ownership, AI generated content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, your responsibility to us and governing law continue to apply after termination.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or inside the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Techstyles after the change, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about these terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York, and you and Techstyles agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the law of the country where you live. These terms do not remove those rights.

Please contact us first if you have a problem. Most issues can be solved quickly by email.

16. General

• These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Techstyles about the service.
• If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation.
